A huge Thank You to the Boosters!

Thanks to all the folks who contributed their time, their talent, and their treasure to tonight’s banquet. We appreciate all you do for the team throughout the year.

Congratulations to all the wrestlers too! Support each other and work hard this off-season, especially in school, but also in preparation for next year. Those with bumps, bruises and assorted other contusions, get healthy!

We wish only the best for all of our seniors! Good luck and please continue to help lead and encourage the teammates you’ll be leaving behind. Thank you all. It has been our privilege to be your coaches.

Summer Camp Info

March 19, 2012 1 comment

Coach Foldeak has talked with many of you about the Cornell, Baumgardner and J Robinson summer camps, as well as the 203 and Tugman clubs, and will have more to say about off-season wrestling at the banquet on Thursday.

In addition, and besides the novice/new wrestler camp Coach Foldeak runs in late June, Wilton Youth Wrestling has announced two other Wilton-based Summer Camps. They have indicated that space will be limited.

* – June 26, 27, 28 (9a – 5:30p) at the South Gym at Cider Mill
Gutches Barber Black TD Attack Camp – Click Here to Sign Up

Camp cost is: $255 (for current USA Wrestlers)
The focus of this camp will be neutral position. The coaches are going to re-emphasize the points of stance, level changes, set-ups, etc and then go into offensive and defensive takedown techniques.

Clinicians will be:

Les Gutches: 2x NCAA champ at Oregon State and World Champ freestyle 1997 (plus a bunch of other honors too numerous to mention).

Sam Barber: assistant coach at the Air Force Academy, former head coach of DIII national champions Augsburg College, and coach of several US national teams.

Tony Black: All American at Wisconsin, manager of developmental programs (ie youth wrestling) at USA Wrestling, and one of the key architects of the USA Wrestling core curriculum. Many of you will remember Tony from the clinic he did at Norwalk at the start of the season for our league.
