Ridgefield Challenge – Rides
Dear Parents,
In the years past, we have asked for help with transportation to and from the Ridgefield Challenge. We again ask for help in getting wrestlers to Ridgefield High School and home again on Saturday. The plan is to meet at Wilton High School at 7:15, and leave to travel to Ridgefield High School at 7:30. We will also need some drivers to help get kids home. I asked the wrestlers to communicate this to you. Please have them let me know if you are able to help.
Logistics:
Varsity only arrive at WHS Field House at 7:15 AM Saturday 1/30.
Caravan to Ridgefield HS at approx 7:30 AM
Weigh-ins start at 8:00 AM
Wrestling scheduled to begin approximately 9:30 AM following scratch/seeding/re-bracketing. Start time is approximate.
Thank you, Coach Foldeak
Wilton 33 – Ridgefield 39
Hello again,
This season has been a tale of close matches with a very slim margin of error. Our match last night against Ridgefield was a highly competitive, closely contested meet. I’m very proud of the way the team wrestled. Sometimes your best effort comes up just a bit short as it did last night. Of the nine matches wrestled (discounting forfeits) we were able to outwrestle our opponents 5-4.
Winning for the Warriors:
108 Travis Long – Travis wrestled a great match against a tough opponent.
115- Finn McGovern – Finn stepped up and took the forfeit when we needed him to.
122 – Nick Rende – Nick wrestled a very solid match against a very tough opponent. He did what we’ve come to expect from Nick. He won.
134 – Quinn Reedy – Quinn like the previous wrestlers outwrestled a tough opponent.
162 – Matt Beck – Matt bumped up a weight class and pinned a heavier opponent. This was a great win for Matt and the team.
172 – Zach Zeyher – Zach bumped up a weight also, and garnered his 20th win of the season.
287 – Tyler Warren – Congratulations to Tyler for his first pin of the season!
We will next wrestle Saturday at the Ridgefield Challenge.
Thanks, Coach Foldeak

- 132 lbs – Quinn Reedy won by pin.
