Cornell Camp Earlybird

Forwarded from Sean DeJager to Coach Foldeak for those interested in the Cornell camp:

Dear Coach/Wrestler,

Cornell has just wrapped up another stellar season of wrestling as it won a record setting 8th straight EIWA Championship and placed 7th at the NCAA Championships, with three wrestlers earning All-America honors. Knowledgeable fans know that 2014 was considered a rebuilding year for Cornell, yet we finished the season ranked fifth in the nation!

Nahshon Garrett (sophomore) placed second at 125lb, Gabe Dean (freshman) placed third at 184lbs and Brian Realbuto (freshman) placed 6th at 157 lbs. With Mark Grey and Dylan Palacio, both freshman, advancing to the round of 12 along with Chris Villalalonga (junior), the future looks very bright for the Big Red.

With the wrestling season behind us it is time to plan
and prepare in order to be even better next year!

I’m sure you understand and appreciate the need for off-season wrestling. Summer wrestling camps represent a valuable opportunity for wrestlers to learn new techniques, wrestle without undue pressure and improve on areas of weakness. When attending as a team, Cornell camps provide an environment where teammates and coaches spend quality time together developing team cohesiveness, commitment to each other and common goals. Last year teams from NY, NJ, PA, MD, VT, FL, VA, CT, MA and ME squared off in over 150 dual meets during one week of camp!

Cornell’s wrestling camps boast one of the best coaching staffs in the US, featuring numerous National Champions, including myself, and many All-Americans:
NCAA Champions
Kyle Dake Mike Grey
Steve Bosak Mike Nevinger
Cam Simaz Clint Wattenberg
Rob Koll Gene Nighman
Damion Hahn Darren Schulman
Mitch Clark Kris Harrington
Most of our staff have years of coaching experience on top of their wrestling laurels. Cornell’s staff teaches a system of wrestling techniques that, when combined with our drills, have proven successful for beginners and advanced wrestlers alike. Our camp curriculum provides campers the environment and opportunity to test and adopt new techniques during live situations and matches.

I personally invite you to be part of the Cornell wrestling camp experience. Take advantage of our $40 Early Bird discount by enrolling your wrestlers in camp by April 15! Full payment is not required until 30 days prior to camp.

More camp information can be found at: There you can also register for camp and track the status of payments/forms submitted. Contact Gene Nighman our Camp Director by email: or by calling 607-255-3175 to learn more about Cornell’s wrestling camps.

I look forward to helping you reach your full potential at Cornell this summer!

Yours in wrestling,

Coach Rob Koll

Yearbooks and Photos

March 23, 2014 1 comment

Thanks to Mrs. Fraccaroli, who created and filled the folders you’ll find by clicking on this link there’s a collection of photographs from this year’s team. She’s hosting the files on her GoogleDrive, and will only be leaving them up for a few months until she needs to recover the space — so, if you want ’em, get ’em while they’re hot, because they won’t be there forever!

Also, if you click on the Reference tab you’ll find a new page — Yearbooks where you can find the files for the last 4 years’ yearbooks. If anyone has files for previous years, please e-mail them to Coach Rinaldi. They’ll be uploaded and added to the page if they come in.

Oh What a Night!

Many thanks to all the boosters who worked so hard to make yesterday evening’s banquet so much fun. We couldn’t function without you!

We also want to extend our gratitude to Principal Bob O’Donnell, new AD Chris McDougal (whose presence at the Friday night banquet was very much appreciated) and Ms Lynne Prescott for their support and encouragement throughout the season and to trainer EJ Occhiboi and Coach Norm as well.

And finally, we’d like to thank our trio of managers, Annie Saltarelli, Megan Stanzione and Jamie Perry along with clinician Gabe Queiros and super-fan Hugh Robertson for all they did for the team during the season.

It was an emotional cap to an extraordinary year and a fitting send-off to a very fine group of young men and women. Kenny Pokora’s video tribute and the yearbook Mrs Fraccaroli put together for 2014 Warriors were awesome.

Coach Foldeak and Coach Rinaldi are grateful for your effort and commitment to our sport, but most of all for your commitment to each other and to us!

We’ll keep you posted about off-season wrestling, lifting and team-building opportunities. In the meantime, what did you do today to make yourself a better wrestler next season?
