Darien “All Star” Wrestling Camp

(Entering Grades 7-11) Learn and refine the fundamentals of wrestling from a former FCIAC, CT State Champion, and HS All-American, Jason Cucolo (Assistant Coach at Warde). Basic wrestling skills and techniques will be demonstrated and practiced in match-like situations. Wrestlers will learn and/or improve their takedown skills, riding techniques, escape moves, and pinning combinations. Participants will be grouped according to age and ability, with an eye on individual differences.This camp will be held in the air-conditioned Wrestling Room at DHS.

Nutmeg Games’ CT State Wrestling Meet – 7/30

Wilton Youth Wrestling’s Coach Ted Young passed this along, and also indicated that if there was enough interest he might be able to go up to the games and provide coaching support.

Ridgefield Wrestling Camp 7/5-7/8

All-American Camp at Ridgefield High School

July 5th -8th

Learn from and train with local Collegiate All-American wrestlers and other champions. These are current or recent All-Americans who earned AA status within the past 3 years. Join us as they will teach the latest wrestling techniques, training drills and conditioning routines used by the most successful college wrestlers today.

Scheduled Clinicians:
Corey Paulish, Williams College, 2011: 2009 DIII All-American, 4x All-NEWA honoree, NEWA Champion, NEWA Rookie of the Year, 3x Scholar All-American. All-time wins leader in Williams College history. Ridgefield High School: 2x State Open Champion, New England Finalist, all-time wins leader.

John Marsh, Bridgewater State College, 2010: 2010 DIII All-American, 2x All NEWA, 5th highest win total in school history. New Bedford High School: MA State Champion

TJ Hepburn, University of Nebraska Kearney, 2012: 2011, 2010 DII All-American, 2008 JUCO All-American while attending Colby CC. Ledyard High School: 3x Sate Open Champion, 2x New England Champ… Junior National All-American … finished 3rd at Senior Nationals … in 2007, earned the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award
